When Kerri and I initially met, I couldn’t wait to shoot her black and white wedding - there’s something so timeless, so…classy…about black and white photographs that made this a treat to shoot. Add to that both of them being an absolute leasure to work with, and it was a breeze for Kathryn and I. Here’s a few samples of our day!

Finally over our collective flus (both Katy and myself were rocked by a nasty bug the last few weeks), I’m able to finish and post up this pretty much perfect wedding day in all regards. Katy of course is the artist behind plenty of the great shots below. Enjoy!

Ahh, Kaylea and Lucas! A couple of my own heart - if you recall their engagement session
at the Bloor Street Cinema, you’ll see their wedding day at The Eglinton Grand made that
session the perfect compliment. Obviously huge movie lovers, their themed but super classy
wedding was certainly a pleasure to work (not to mention attend!). I mean - Mario Cake Topper?
Darth Vader speech? Who could ask for anything more!

PS - Thanks for the patience in waiting this post, guys, I’m finally starting to feel a bit better.

A gift for Lucas didn’t leave a dry eye in the room, hired help included. Thanks for that, Kaylea.

We were blessed with rain on Darren & Angie’s wedding day, which led to us shooting most of our formals indoors; this actually worked out amazingly, because Sunnybrook Estates has some great locations to take full advantage of! So…What Is It?

There is no 100% definition for what editorial photography is; from documenting a news story to classic portraiture. In this sense, an Editorial Session with us will be a photo session with a concept we create together - examples from Vogue magazine such as “From The Runways to the Streets” to “Alice in Wonderland” show that the sky’s the limit!

Who Is It For?

Though certainly for everyone - young and old, short and tall - a couple booking an Editorial session is one looking for something outside of your ’standard’ engagement photo-session…perhaps you have a themed wedding that would do well to have 50’s styled photographs of you both? Or, maybe you are just not the type who are big fans of being ‘mushy’ in pictures, and would prefer to have your shots to be something outside of the box? Then such a session may be for you!

Currently we are quoting prices on a ‘Per Session’ basis - simply put, a photo of you both galloping through a castle on a white stallion may cost more then a classic studio portrait session! :) Interested? We had worked with Kendra and Kyle previously on both their engagement session and wedding day, and since had decided another creative photoshoot was in order. We shot with a 50’s Italian cinema themed vibe for this; a special thanks to Blake Arsenault for the hairstyling, Amanda Sousa for makeup, and Ayesha for wardrobe. Enjoy!

Jenn & Jamie - Peterborough Wedding

Last month, Kathryn and I headed north to the absolutely lovely Peterborough, Ontario, to photograph the wedding of Jenn & Jamie. The weather held off any rain (though it threatened often), and we were lucky such weather permitted us dramatic outdoor photos with the giant balloons Jenn & Co. had brought along.
