Over the years of shooting wedding photography in Toronto and beyond, one thing that became very clear – what type of couple books us, and why. Initially a fashion photographer shooting for FORD, Elmber Olsen, etc. the transition into weddings stemmed by chance for a friend in need; from there, with a little luck and some amazing clients, jclayphoto has become Toronto’s choice for stylized & modern wedding photography coverage.

It’s fair to say that our couples are not your every day bride and groom; one of the most common things we hear is “…we don’t want the typical/cheesy wedding photographs!”. While we certainly feel that some photos are a necessity – a group shot with your family, for example – when it comes to our images, we want to deliver photos that are not only unique to our couples, but also on a different level then anyone else in the industry.

So, who books us? Well, if you’re looking for wedding coverage that is a blend of timeless photojournalism and stylish, creative portraiture, we would love to hear from you to discuss your wedding date.

Having our “trash the dress” photo session with Jeremy was probably one of the most special memories of our wedding! We thought of doing a non-traditional engagement photo session and found out that the new trend of “trash the dress” photography really caught our eyes. What we wanted were something powerful and beautiful and can last a long time. Jeremy was the perfect photographer that helped us achieved the goal! While most people did “trash the dress” session post of their wedding (hence you can trash the used dress), we chose to did it before so we can show off these photos on our wedding reception. We wanted both the urban and wild themes and Jeremy went along without a problem! Wearing a wedding gown and walking in the wilderness (or sunk in water) was not an easy task at all, but Jeremy was very good at ease us into various posts (no matter how awkward the positions might be). He was very easy going, funny and genius in creating different shots! He was a super trooper for following us up and down the mud or river with high spirit! Working with Jeremy was such a breeze and all the photos were amazing! Thank you Jeremy! We will totally do it again with you! 🙂

Hi there,

My wedding is planned for November 8th, 2014. Are you available on that date, and if so what are your packages for 2 photographers- roughly 7-8 hours.
